Weed eater, weedeater brush cutter attachment, a brush hog or Billy goat (motorized brush cutters). And then a lawn mower with mulching blades to cut it lower

If you got a big zero turn that’s where I’d start and mow in the highest setting if you don’t and have a push mower. I’d start with a weed whip, gas powered, whip down all the tall shit and go to work on mowing. You’re gonna have to do multiple passes, I’d recommend doing it all one direction then perpendicular.

  3. Not a professional, But I did work with professionals many years ago for extra income.
    Long pants and tall socks.
    String trimmer for first pass.
Rake and take away everything (this will be the worst part)
    Mow to 3″

  4. Run over with a high lawn mower setting. Then again with lower, etc etc.

Soak some clothes in permethrin, it will help keep chiggers and ticks off of you (let fully dry before wearing). A string trimmer, walk behind brush hog (rental), a lawn mower and some limb pruners will likely take care of most of that.

If that house is not owned by a dog, your using “most goodest friend” incorrectly.

a Stihl fs110 weed eater with a metal blade and a face shield.

edit: A 32 gallon brute can and a rake and a dump trailer and a pick up truck.

You could probably do a bulk of that with just a string trimmer with tough string and then a mow and blow.

    Depends on many variables.

If money is a problem you could do this with a mower, some basic lawn tools and knock it out in one afternoon.

Or you could rent the most bad ass equipment from Hone Depot and knock it out in hour if you got tons of money and no spare time.

Of course the most work will be killing all the weeds, laying sod or grass.

Not sure what your objectives are.

  10. I think your friend likes it like that. Why change it.

A lot of cutting. Brush hog or a lawn mower on the highest setting, a weed wacker, hedge trimmers or some loppers for the thick woody shit.

If you want to go the extra mile, bag all that stuff and haul it off, looks to be like a lot of vegetation.

    Fiskars brush hook.

Or, take off and nuke the site from orbit.

String trimmer with heavy gauge line. Most of those tall ones have fairly shallow root systems and can be pulled up by hand with little effort and a pair of gloves. Mow high and keep mulching with the mower until you are pleased with the results. Blow it all aggressively with a leaf blower and mow/mulch it again at a lower setting. Those are the tools I would use as those are the tools I have at hand.

Goats, rent goats. Otherwise, you’re going to need a weed whacker with a brush cutting attachment and a lot of back breaking labor.

You could do that with a weed Wacker. Extra spool twine for it. A regular push mower with bagger and a ton of bags or cans to put all the stuff.

Weed Wacker everything. Rake it to the middle. Mulch it all without bag on mower. Then start bagging it.

  16. Depending on what is growing, I would opt for a bush hog, either a rental or higher someone, then mow and string trim.

I’ve cleared a similar area with a little more separation between grass and weeds. I did it with a basic 30 year old honda push mower, gas trimmer, and borrowed a saw zaw (sp.?) from a friend. If I could do it over I would have sprayed for weeds first because some of the big weeds were gnarly until I had the saw zaw. Also one of those big brush mowers would have been helpful. (Source I am in the insurance industry and I just started with what I have without doing any research)

Go on FB marketplace and find a guy with a bush hog. Usually 50-75$/hr min 3 cheaper and quicker than renting tools. Lowered your responsibilities in case hidden rock breaks a window or damages a blade. Finish up with mower and trimming

Gas weed eater w a brush blade , then lawnmower

  20. Hard to see what’s going but looks like a lot of thistle. Brush hog may be overkill unless you have some woody material. If it’s just weedy material I’d weed whip all the tall shit then mow it at different heights then rake up what you can. Remove all saplings and vines Tten do a weed killing regime.
